The Art Apartments stand alone in terms of unique accommodation in the heart of Robe. Nestled into the hillside on Smilie Street, a previous life saw them as the Campbell Cottages, a lifetime before that they were originally built for Alexander Campbell in 1857. This Victorian set of row houses was built as single storey accommodation for the busy sea port , with the second storey added to become the first Bank building in Robe. Since those days it has housed a Girl’s School and later, famed Australian singer, June Bronhill, lived here.
The apartments have been fully renovated and open directly onto historic Smillie Street, right in the centre of the “old Robe Town” precinct. Cafes, restaurants and both the Caledonian Inn and the Robe Hotel are just a short stroll down the street with Town Beach a minutes walk across the town square.
Each apartment features distinct art genres. Robe Art apartment Three features works on paper. There is a generous double bedroom overlooking the second story verandah, and on the ground floor, a comfortable sitting room, bathroom, open plan living room and kitchen opening onto the rear courtyard. A second double bed in the downstairs living area takes the accommodation to four people.
The downstairs kitchen and dining area also opens up into a large, shared garden area. Sumptuous lawn carpets the area with shady trees and private nooks offer spaces that can be either private or a place to dine with friends. This accommodation is perfect for couples looking to retreat and relax, small families will also cherish the safety of the rear garden and the proximity to Robes sheltered bay beaches. This property is self-contained and IS NOT a serviced apartment. We supply some small convenience items on arrival such as hotel size bathroom essentials and tea & coffee. In your holiday home, as a minimum, you will also find:

- dishwashing liquid and dishwasher capsules
- fly spray
- surface cleaner
- bin liners
- toilet paper for the first two days
- washing powder
- plastic wrap and alfoil
